Dear internets,

Female is not a handicap.
Female is not an insult.
Female is not the presumptive loser, target, prize or victim of any contest.

I know we've only been thinking of women as actual people for a little while now, but please, you've had a century or so to adapt. Do try and adjust your snark lines appropriately.

Huh.
Dad was telling me about a conversation he had with the guy who came dressed as a bogan to my party, we'll call him C. C was standing out the back having a smoke and saying to Dad that women are only good for two things.
Dad pointed to the concrete and asked if C knew how it got broken.
I love my Dad!

okay, I'm reading back and I'm *still* curious. What two things?

Well, yes. Wherefrom comes this re-iteration of the obvious though?

(sorry, that probably sounds snarkier than it's meant to, 2 nights of no sleep = Jen with no idea.)

(Didn't sound snarky at all, in fact. ;) There was a trigger comment, on some blog somewhere, calling some male journalist a "kid sister" because he was complaining (and only little *girls* complain, right?) but it's so common it didn't seem worth the link. More often I'm seeing the "beaten by a gurl lolz", often said by girls I know.

For a relevant link, tho, check out the count. - Comment 13 et. seq.

note: LJs spellchecker doesn't know the word "blog" -_-
