Yesterday:
Trenette with lobster in tomato sauce! It was an otherworldly experience. WONDROUS. The pasta was amazing and the lobster was enormous and it took me half an hour to eat the whole thing. THEN I WENT INTO FOOD COMA. The dessert was also amazing, because chocolate biscuit-like cake plus gelato sprinkled with hazelnut bits = A+++. (

If you like TOTALLY ABSURD TRAVELOGUES, you should read The Travels of Sir John Mandeville. It's not Greco-Roman, but it's a 14th century travelogue that, as the writer leaves Europe and heads towards Asia, gets increasingly, increasingly ridiculous, where at the end he's like I'M IN CHINA, DUDES, and you go WHAT WHAT THIS IS A CHINA I DID NOT KNOW EXISTED. So bizarre, so hilarious.
But no Socrates and Homer, which is bummer.

14th century! I am really fond of this century! And also, BIZARRE AND HILARIOUS = ALSO A+++. Although, to be totally honest, I would rather have another piece of chocolate cake plus gelato plus little delicious bits of hazelnut. I MISS IT SO.
*not really true, I dress like a hobo because I can't... bring myself to care... is this sad.

Though granted, I don't tweet much original content -- most of my tweets are replies to other people that might not show up on your feed because you don't follow the other people. Maybe that's why you don't see many tweets from me?

Oh! I didn't know that! Is that how it works, then? I don't think I like it, because I am super interested in anything you say (♥), and I'd like to read your replies to people I don't follow!
I am making >:( faces at you, twitter!

I have been eating lots of potato chips because we bought them when we went to watch HP 7.1 and it was an enormous pack :( And it would be wasteful to throw it away, or that's what we tell ourselves while guiltily basking in their deliciousness...! But also CHINESE HOT POT :D I love it, and I love how spicy my family makes it! The only good thing about winter is HOT POTS. Because in my world, everything is somehow linked to food.
I am reading Virgil's Eclogues! They are not as outwardly absurd as other texts, but they are deeply hilarious (in my opinion) and I can't read them without going AHAHAHA VIRGIL :D or AHAHAHA NO D: VIRGIL. Poor Virgil. Did you know he was too shy to be a good orator :D
...this comment has somehow lapsed into me vomiting words at you, hasn't it? Nance how are you, do you live your everyday life thinking about how awesome you rightly are :D
