Fascinating ones. You should do it. :P Hot, totally uncompromised Nita/Hottie! (Yes, of course I went to the porn place first, like duh.)

I am always ready to lower the tone. But seriously, porn in this universe would be the best thing ever. The WD is so puritan in so many ways, while the LP is really hedonistic - instead of imagining the LP as hedonistic because of its evilness, how about imagining hedonism* as evil because it is associated with that Beautiful Power? In this reversed universe, sexuality might be celebrated. Kit and Nita could talk about how the WD (I'm really liking my epithet of Burned One...) is hot, but nowhere near as hot as the Beautiful One. Or, or, or, there could be Beautiful One/Nita JEALOUSY porn. Post-WH, say ( ... )

I approve of your ideas and wish to subscribe to your newsletter.

Okay, give me a minute to recover from their *cute* -- the banter! The jealousy, ahahahahahahaha YES. *smooshyhands*

Nita as the favored daughter kind of makes me *beam*, although I cannot believe in a Nita who didn't pull the same kind of thing with a Fallen Winged Defender (I kind of like Burned One too; it lends a certain pathos that would fit with the concept of the Winged Defender falling because It was doing Its job too well.) that she did with the Lone Power.

In which case, It might well have some reason for jealousy.

But when your most powerful Power is addressed as the Beautiful One, yeah, I can see sex -- making beauty between two or more beings -- being a canonical glory to the One. I mean, heck, I am the one that thinks Aphrodite would end up being the Athene type of figure.

Okay, this is annoying; I tried to post, was told it was too long, and obviously I should have copied over the whole comment somewhere because when I cut out part of it to paste in later, that didn't work and it ate the whole first section. So now I only have the end.

Sigh.

Okay. I'll leave out the part about nonlinear timelines and learning curves, mostly, except that when you said the unfallen Fairest implied the possibility of a fallen Defender, I thought you meant coexisting rather than as a whole alternate version of the universe. As it is, I kind of think the Hesper is from "before" the fall, except She as a fragment doesn't actually have to go repeat the fall and redemption. Maybe.

Swapping roles, with an unfallen Fairest and fallen Champion. The first tricky part is physics. Entropy really is thoroughly wound in to how the current universe works, to the point that... well, I can imagine as a concept a world without entropy, but I know just enough physics to know that I don't know enough physics to imagine what it'd have to ( ... )

Based on what I have of your comment, I would have *loved* the full version.

I think I got most of the essentials in, anyway.

Re: coexisting v. AU. I actually kind of meant both? Because since we do have the Hesper and the Lone Power coexisting, the implication I am drawing is that somewhere alongside there is a Winged Defender that Fell. And every other Power, too.

Okay, I honestly don't think it does imply that, actually. It might be a possibility in some... related sheaf of universes or subcreation, but I don't think the one requires the other -- because I think the Unfallen has in some sense always existed -- and I think the weight of evidence is against. I think the Lone Power would not be as... exceptional as a cause of trouble... if fallen versions of the rest of them were active too. But I'm not going to mess with how you want to read. *g*

Re: Hesper before the Fall... I don't know, that way feels kind of like the easy way out. I mean, the story I care about *is* the fall and redemption. That's what I'm here for. Having ( ... )

*hands* I did not mean necessarily active, simply existing. In War, after all, the Hesper had been around for a while and just hadn't tried incarnating yet. One could posit a similar sort of thing with the Fallen versions of the other Powers, if one so chooses to read that way.

It doesn't *have* to be a cop-out? But when the Hesper shows up in the same book with the evilest Lone Power we have met yet, and Esemeli just *one* book ago was being sufficiently ambivalent that Nita reasonably could think It had done the right thing... I just would have been happier if somebody had referenced Esemeli as clear proof that Hesper or no Hesper, the Reconfiguration was clearly taking, even inside Time. Because it would be easy to let the Hesper be the redeemed Lone Power, and that isn't the story I'm here for.

Oooooh. What did she say, re: Loki/Baldur?
