Les had to call the plumber back again, as water was still trickling. The plumber had already put in an urgent request to council for them to replace the stop cock on the street frontage. However, this is now handled by the new, and seemingly totally incompetent Water Authority, so who knows how long we may have to wait. The council would have

Where is the water trickling? Inside the house or outside?
I hope the bills aren't too awful...they shouldn't send out one giant bill. That's just wrong.

The water is trickling on the street frontage, and will undermine the footpath if something is not done soon. When the council was billing the water rates they were included as part of the quarterly rates bill. Now that the government has taken over it is going to cost more than it did, and for less service apparently. Les thinks we will probably have to pay for them to repair their equipment.
