It's a really large old book, heavily illustrated and pretty much all English work - mostly Opus Anglicanum as found on ecclesiastical garments. There are photos and good line drawings. I've been trying to figure out when this will go out of copyright, but I can't quite find out when the author died. It was soon after publication as far as I can tell since she was already publishing in the late 1800's. I've scanned quite a bit of it, but since it is so large, the images are somewhat trimmed. I can see people wanting to collect it, although other sources have much better photos now.

Near as I can tell, it's not under copyright. There's no notice in it, and since it was published before 1965 with no copyright notice, I *think* it's in the public domain already.

There were only 350 copies printed -- that's why it's so expensive. I'd like to know what that is in USD!

it is about 3000 US dollars.

I've checked the book in the library, copied a few pages in the introduction. i would say i would pay a maximum around 100 Us dollars for it just to have it in my reference collection, if i had 100 dollars just sitting there waiting to be spent that is...

nice to know a free copy is available at the library, just to order up and go research when i need it!

i think i would rather spend 3000$ travelling around looking at the real pieces in the museums!

IIRC, seems like the last copy that I saw was like 10 grand (in USD)!

If I won the Georgia Lottery, *maybe* .......

There's enough margin on the pages that you can center them on the glass on a copier and not have to reduce anything.

*whistles innocently*
