Author's Notes: For some reason or other, Myra has found herself inexplicably drawn to Johnny Blaze. While relationships aren’t discouraged, they can leave an agent open to attack through other means outside of their control. Myra’s a little reluctant, but can’t help but admit she’s developed a crush.
Myra sat alone in her apartment again, staring at the empty seat before her. The emptied tea cup was the only remaining proof that the other-worldly visitor had even been there. She’d raked the spots where his boots had left strange footprints in the garden dirt behind the apartment building, and thankfully, it appeared no one had seen the slick motorcycle he’d used to get there. Her thoughts returned to their conversation, and one thing stuck out in her mind.
Had she really just agreed to spend a day with him? Her cheeks flushed, and only for the fact that she hadn’t experienced such reactions to anyone like that in a long time, was she able to pinpoint the cause. True, she had once been drawn to The Shadow, but they were both too devoted to their jobs, and the interest turned out to be little more than a very close working relationship. This…was different.
Taking a sniff in the closed apartment, she noticed that Zarathos had probably singed her seat. Johnny would have a heart attack if he ever found out.
