Sorry to hear some fans don't even want to try to get to know you. :< That's just lame. I'm kind of shy, so I've never really tried to speak to other fans first, but mostly people have been nice to me or at least didn't mind me all that much lol. I did have someone tap me on the shoulder once and tell me ここ、邪魔... Ok, I went to the second row with a not-that-great ticket, but my friend was already there and it was an event with a bunch of bands anyway. And I've seen a Japanese fan bring three friends to the second row at a Daisuke oneman and no-one said anything although there really wasn't any space for those people... Double-standards much. (><) Sooo yea, I can kind of relate. Oh, and my friend has an American friend living in Japan and she goes to MEJIBRAY lives a lot and apparently the other fans are always really rude to her for no reason. But my friend said they were nice to her... Idk, I don't really get people most of the time.

Anyway, I'm glad you've met some nice fans as well. :3

Yeah, it's really not even a live thing so much as a cultural thing, when I think about it. You know, like in the US you can just turn and ask someone for the time, and I feel like usually they'll tell you, but here's it like you're being a bother by trying to interact with anyone you don't know. It just seems much more difficult to meet people than it needs to be. :/

That sucks that fans are mean to her for no reason. Some people out there are just complete asses, I guess..

Oh! I heard you are buying tickets for lynch from a friend of a friend of mine! THE WORLD IS TINY. XD <3

I must have had it easy since I'm Asian and non-threatening. It could also be the bands you're seeing? I went to a lot of small shows and kept seeing familiar faces, so it was pretty easy to chat up the 常連. I met a lot of cool foreigners (like you) and Japanese fans, but I knew my fair share of baddies too. And like you mentioned, meeting people in line and other lone fans can restore your faith in humanity. It's funny. If other Japanese fans see you talking to a Japanese fan, they're more inclined to approach you or at least お疲れ you.

Yea, that might be part of it. Gaze has a huge following of course and there's always a bunch of other foreigners there, so it's kind of a whatever thing with Japanese fans, I think. But yeah, I've def had plenty of good experiences too, like meeting you! and the Unsraw fans back in the day. XD
