[Is cut off somewhat abruptly, and pauses momentarily to take stock]
...Go ahead.
[[ooc: sorry for not being around this weekend much - ended up going out with family both days but ooh this is being posted at workies yay - I got me mobile broadband and a lappie ^_^]]
[He almost mutters some kind of apology for cutting Reeve off like that, but decides it would be more prudent to just say what he had been going to say.]
You should know my father is alive. I would not be surprised if he attempts to contact you in the near future.
[He waits for that statement to sink in before saying anything else.]
[[ooc: No worries, my brain was kind of on vacation anyway.]]
[A little hum. There is a reason he is being informed this, he knows. It is not suspicion, just caution that leads him to answer]
Well, I thank you for informing me.
[Reeve needs some time to think about the implications. Yet he cannot help but think the Old President at least faked being a more personable figure. Rufus had to live past his father's legacy of wrongs, and succeeded in this only to create a name further maligned.
[There is a quiet noise of acknowledgement and then a pause as Rufus considers what next to say to Reeve. There is too much at stake to leave it at just that.]
I haven't yet had an opportunity to speak to him myself, but I can't imagine we will be on good terms. He will attempt to undermine me.
[Another brief pause, and something that may have been a sigh.]
I don't want a war, and I am sure you don't either.

But it is Rufus who claims to have changed.]
