So what do you guys think?

"Blood & Chocolate" movie verdict from the LJ office: pretty darn awesome. (Also awesome: watching it and thinking "I know what she's thinking! I read her LJ!" Or, in one case, "I wrote her LJ!")

So -- once you see the movie, come back and tell us what you think of it!

(There'll be spoilers in the comments, I'm sure.)

Heh! I felt the same way watching Rafe get dissed (he's a lot more sympathetic in the movie than I thought!).

Anyway, the movie was a blast, but even more so because of this blog - thanks for putting so much effort into it, guys; it was a hoot.

That was so weird! I had just the script, and on the paper, Rafe came across as a twat -- while I was watching the movie I thought wow, he's way less of a jerk than I thought he'd be. Mad props to the actor, because I wound up feeling really sorry for him.

And thank you. Seriously, this is the most fun I've had at work for ages.

No kidding. I've seen his actor in a few other things, and he's always excellent - he could have just made Rafe a bog-standard creepy villain, but instead he really made you feel for the poor kid. (The heck was up with that glass eye, though?)

The movie made me laugh a bit, but only because it was so different from the book. I can understand why they changed it so much now but wow, it wasnt anything like the story.. and no one looked like they were supposed to. lol, tho thats kinda like people with the harry potter books, they didnt think that people looked like they should eithor. Still the special effects wre brilliant and the story was sound and firm. Id give it a 8 out of 10. but thats only because i will always love the book more.. great job on the journal and I hope that you guys do something like this in the future... Tho, if you could reply to more peoples responses when you posted for her you would have had a larger fan base.

My husband and I went to see the movie today. Honestly, we were just looking for fun. I read Blood and Chocolate a long time ago, and knew this was vastly different from the book ( ... )

Huh, honestly, I have no idea, and I don't know if we have any way to find out. I'll see what I can do for you, though.

Thank you so much.

I really wish I had found out about this project sooner. I would have adored playing along. Major kudos to your RP skills m'dear.

I have scoured everything I know to scour, every interview that links the movie to Romania, and random searches of Romanian churches. Someone connected to the movie surely knows, but I don't know who to ask...

i had the same response to the ending. i read the book a really long time ago, and don't remember much of it, but i do remember hating the ending, so i was really happy with what they did with the ending of the movie. it was much more satisfying for me. i'm glad someone agrees. there are a lot of book purists out there who totally FREAKED out at the ending!

I loved it, it was so much better than the book.
