This weekend I finally managed to get some time to sew! I was worried because Saturday we drove out to the base in Suffolk to get David new glasses. As it turned out, they didn't have much of a selection for men and what they did have was very expensive. We ended up getting them locally after all. Is a crossover type gown no good for dancing at a ball? Tell this girl, who knows little about the rules of Regency fashion, why!

A crossover evening style would be more appropriate for a mature lady at a ball, but is fine for dancing. As my foot is keeping me from dancing, I thought it would be good because it provides a little more coverage with a higher neckline and elbow length sleeves. I might get a little cool as others will be keeping warm by dancing.
