Look, I'm sorry, but Yamato's going insane. I told him about what happened when the others died and he... he attacked me, he said it was all my fault, he...

He told me he never wanted to see me again. I don't know why... it wasn't my fault! I didn't have any other choice, any other option... they died in front of me...

Yamato is currently suffering a great deal, and being who he is, he does not want to tell everyone about it. It seems that the person he thought of as his brother has cruelly betrayed his trust, and he is understandably hurt. Apparently Takeru has killed a good many people in cold blood - people who were Yamato's friends.
