Organizational Assistance - What's the going rate?

What's the going flat rate for an organizing buddy?

Specifically how much should someone pay a friend to come over to their house and work an 8 hour day, on a weekend and help to organize your house? Lets say they were taken out to lunch at mid-day as an added incentive.

This is a tough question.

I regularly pay Adam (not the canine one) to do housecleaning, yardwork, etc, and pay him $10.00 per hour. The work tends to be harder than organizing, and sometimes includes things like mopping and scrubbing toilets, but he is usually happy to get the money. I suppose it boils down to a matter of what feels like an appropriate price, and coming to an agreement that both parties feel comfortable with.

I usually pay my regular workers more, but for particularly nasty or inconvenient jobs, will renegotiate the price to suit the work.

That's about what I was thinking - $10 an hour seems to be the universal "non-professional" i.e not a plumber, etc. rate.
