Aw heck I'll sleep after he's gone!

They just pulled the hot water heater. I still have all of my cold water lines! All is well. And my icemaker is still hooked up!

The floor looks just awful where the water heater was. I get to run to Lowe's this afternoon (when I wake up) and buy the plywood to re-do the mudroom floor. I'm trying to decide what kind of tile to put down. I've got the industrial strength Congoleum commercial tile in various colors, and I've got some black and white marble peel & Stick that Julia gave me.

Well the plumber is gone...

Off to bed now.

Hey thanks! I'm so releived the leaking mass has left my house that I could care less if I have it replaced at this point.

I heated up a kettle of water to do the dishes and it worked just fine. Took a bath right before the plumber showed up so I've not found out what it will take to heat bathwater yet. Should be interesting.

I'll have a $0 gas bill until I light the pilot light for the Gas Heater on October 15th or when I get a new hot water heater, whichever comes first. Right now the cold water is "tepid to warm" but I imagine it will be downright icy by October. So I'd lay odds that the Hot water heater will come first.
