So in July of '08 when we suddenly packed up and moved back to the Houston area it was an act of desperation. We felt that it was our only choice to get out of the crappy situation we were in. busy creating
i've been feeling really crafty lately. spending lots of time at my sewing machine and fiddling around with whatever i have lying around or can afford. i've been having lots of fun. now i have a growing mental-list of projects i'm excited about. i made macayla that little apron and for christmas i've made her a teddy bear that i plan on ( Read more... ) -

i have been (ever so slowly) working on making an apron for my niece who is turning two this week. it has been fun but, at times, a pain in my butt! as of this evening i am done with it. it isn't perfect but i'm satisfied ( Read more... ) -

Little girls are wonderful, and awful, and fun, and frustrating, and confusing. When do they go from normal girls to angsty and defiant? What exactly happens? It makes me so sad to see them try so hard to be tough and "hard" people who don't need anything from anyone. My mom had suddenly died. But I wasn't sad about it because she was still able to call me on the phone and talk just like always. If we lost reception I couldn't call her back but she could always call me. Not really vacation
I feel that we've been so busy lately but I don't think that's really true. Todd's family rented a beach house on the Bolivar Peninsula in Galveston this past weekend so we stayed on the beach for a couple of days. In many ways it was great.
