Well, it's been a weird and wicked and wonderful year, and it's finally coming to an end. Tomorrow afternoon I am going to Penn Station to board a train back home. I will be in Indiana for a record ten days (the most I've been in the midwest since moving to NYC). I'm working on my god-damn novel again.
The one I started in high school and the promptly ignored for six years.
Huzzah.

I saw Persepolis, in movie form, at the BAM last night and it was... phenomenal. Most definitely one of the best movies I've seen in a long, long time. The animations were so simple and yet they all conveyed heartloads of emotion. On the train home I talked to a newbie co-worker about how much we struggle at loving New York. Once in Brooklyn, I took a long walk through the scary deserted streets to a creepy grocery store before looping back and climbing up to the apartment.
