The workday in Central City had reached its end and folks were starting to fill the streets, whether they were headed home or to the nearest bar. Inside one of them, Dree was already at the bar and sipping on her drink. Next to her, a freshly-poured beer sat, waiting for its owner to arrive.

On schedule, the door opened and Trey Donovan ambled in, saying hello to a few of the patrons he'd come to know well as he moved for the open seat. "Oh, that looks amazing," he sighed, throwing his leg over the stool as if it were a saddled horse. "Cheers," he nodded to the blonde, raising the glass for a moment before taking a long swig.

With a satisfied sigh, Trey pulled the glass from his lips and twisted to face Dree. "And how was your day, General?" As Dree's eyes rolled slightly, he grinned and set the glass on the bar.

"Just fine... Professor," she replied, turning only her head to look at him. Trey made a face and turned back as the bartender came into his line of sight.

"Sign this," Gus demanded, passing a slip of paper over the bar.

"And hello to you, too," Trey said as he glanced at the paper. Before he could look up to ask for a pen, Dree had already held one up for him. "Thanks," he nodded, then took the pen from her and quickly signed his name. Holding the slip of paper up for Gus, Trey narrowed his eyes. "What did I just sign for?" he asked as Gus set down a fresh glass of beer.

"One case of Laethrilian pineapples, one case of assorted rums... and four gallons of pineapple juice. You," Gus nodded to him and waved the slip of paper he'd just collected, "just paid the bill."

"Yesssss," Trey breathed, relaxing in his seat. "Gus, my good man.. I'm going to need a pineapple and a very sharp knife."

Ten minutes later, Dree was using the knife to slice off bits of the inner core of the pineapple as she watched Trey play chemist with the rums and pineapple juice. He'd been complaining about the lack of decent alcohol on Celcia for weeks, and had finally asked Gus if he could make a special order. Gus had told Trey that as long as he covered the cost of goods and shipping - freight from a different sector of space cost a lot more than freight from the other side of the planet - he'd place the order.

"Now, General," Trey said a moment later, pouring the mixed contents from the glass into the cored pineapple, "give this a try." Dree raised an eyebrow, but shrugged her shoulders. It's not like it would kill her... and it would shut him up about the stupid pineapple and rum.

"Oh my God," she stated after taking a swig of the drink. Glancing at him, she smiled. "That's really good."
