I've been sitting around eating bonbons and reading novels (and not too coincidentally, getting fat) for too long. I need to take some action!

I think if I were in your shoes, after going to see wtf is going on with the volunteer thing, I'd go for 1. the after school homework thing and 2. the library. (If it were me in my shoes, I'd go for the library and try just a plain ol' Red Cross job if that didn't work.) Good luck!
