[What Moonie loves about the field is the mind-numbing sensory overload. Clean air, sunlight, and flowers that won't strangle her where she lays. She can rest on her back, crushed petals soft in her palms, and zone out for hours.
It's when she hears an intruder that she rolls onto her belly, lifting herself to peer over the small hill she'd claimed. Moonie's stare bores into Jael.]
[That's... not how people react when they see Moonie.
As such, not sure how to react, she fixates on Jael's massive ears and concludes that if not human, she must be an elf or something else. This affords her marginally less hostility and caution.
She doesn't smile, because to do so would seem more like a threat than a greeting. But she does lift a hand and twiddle her gnarled claws-for-fingers.]
[Jael looks up and smiles brightly at Coraline as she sits up. She pulls out her comm and types on it one-handed, holding it up towards the young girl once she's done.]
[Matt was already there when Jael plopped down into the flowers not far from him. He glanced over at her, stretched out his folded legs and sighed. He kind of hoped he'd be here alone. But ah well. As long as she's quiet, he won't mind. See what I did thar?]
[He glances over at her just in time to catch her smile. It's not much, but he offers her a small smile in return. She'll even get a wave, cause she's got a nice smile and she seems nice.]
[Jael's smile widens and she waves back enthusiastically. She takes this as an invitation and slowly picks herself up off the ground and plops down a couple feet away from Matt.
Typity-type on her comm before holding it up for him to see.]
[It doesn't take a genius to tell that something's up. He can understand startling her, as he didn't exactly give her a warning that he was there, but she was typing. Not like she hadn't typed before, and it could be nothing, but it still makes him curious.
Jin doesn't bother with his comm, and instead signs to her]
