Oh, Bill. The dynamic between Bill and Laura, with Bill's absolute denial about her state, is tough to read, because while this isn't the canon Bill I never forgave, he's still so incredibly frustrating. I have a feeling things are about to get crazier, if at all possible. Which I'm quite sure it is. After all, I haven't seen Zarek in a few chapters. ;)
You'd think Adama would learn by now that keeping secrets has a way of biting him in the ass. I'm betting Hoshi and Jesse are not going to be pleased that they had to go ask Boomer if their lovers were still alive.

Heh, it's probably not intentional, but I find myself almost sympathizing with Adama here, a little bit. I mean, YES, Hoshi is absolutely right to point out the blatant hypocrisy of his risking his own life for Roslin, when he's in command of the Fleet, but not letting Hoshi do the same. But at the same time, if I were in Adama's shoes, would I send someone on what looked like an absolute suicide mission with no hope of saving anyone? Particularly if other lives were depending on that person? It's kind of like... if the guy with a pack-a-day habit tells you to quit smoking, it's still a good idea. :D /lame analogies. On the leg thing; I really wish that had been addressed on the show. Even just a line or two. There was an interview with one of the writers where he said that it was hushed up to protect Helo and Gaeta (and the other mutineers), which makes sense to me, because as crazy as Kara's decision seemed, she was ultimately vindicated by script, and Adama couldn't very well pursue with alliance while saying she was wrong to

You know, I totally agree with Adama here, too. Well, mostly. I think he should have evaluated the situation a bit more, but for the most part, he's kind of right. It most likely would be a suicide mission, and it's been set up in this fic that Hoshi IS important in the CIC, and that's why Adama consented to Jesse being sworn in- because Hoshi needed competent help

Adama hasn't so much as looked me in the eyes this past week.
I never fully caught before how much was going on in this line, how Adama probably wasn't looking at Louis because he felt guilty about not telling him about Felix, but how Louis probably interpreted it as being about the rape. Very clever nuance there.
"You're not going to tell me Felix is pregnant," he said, attempting a joke and failing miserably. is one of my favorite lines. It's a nice little joke, a nice meta stab at mpreg, and yet it also sums up Louis's emotional state so well.
I love the way you write Roslin and Adama together; there's a real tenderness between them, even (or maybe especially) when they disagree.
It's funny, isn't it, that at one time Adama/Roslin was my OTP? I used to ADORE them. This was before I got into writing fic, but I remember completely melting at "I love you." "About time." I miss that.
