volunteered

I decided that my objections to volunteering could be overcome - so I signed up. I really, really hope I  don't regret it, but at this point I am getting excited about the awards again. I guess a little pro-active approach never hurt anyone, huh? I'll admit that the reason I volunteered in Beyond was to keep my fics out of the running, too. I feel ( Read more... )

Kudos to you for volunteering. I think everyone should volunteer once. I got comfortable this year and threw my name in for grunt work. I'm more of a behind the scenes kind of gal.

And I wouldn't worry about who wins anyway. You can only control one vote, your own. If you feel you've voted for the best in each category, then the world is good.

If you don't get enough noms or votes, i wouldn't worry either. There's a lot of talent on that board, and you only get one vote. That's why I had wanted the awards twice a year. I'm going to give myself a headache trying to narrow a nom or vote down to one.

I'd just tell the husband the edible flower is a vegetable. They all grow in the ground, now don't they.

Telling him it is a vegetable would ensure that he doesn't eat it! He hates 'em, he does.

As for volunteering, I figured I've spent enough time griping about things that I should give it a whirl myself, I guess. Anywho, I signed up... we'll see if I'm grunt work in another era or Host in Beyond. Or anything, really.
