Stephanie ... holy geez. I don't intend to make you not angry, and frankly, I'm sort of relieved that you're feeling this way, because although it may seem like you're digging yourself a hole, you're in your friggin first semester at college - don't act as if you've thrown your life away. Your hard work got you into a great school, and your ... I don't know, courage or integrity or determination made you pick one far away (a daring feat most of us aren't up to), and stick with your choice in the face of unspeakable adversity. And by the way, your concept of normal was going to change with or without Katrina, with or without the choices you've been making, so I don't think anyone expects next semester to continue as normal, however this semester goes
