Today was pretty lucky, so a quick happy sketch. I was going to animate it, but the lighting difference was too distracting. Ah well, Gastrodon is still a cutie.

Starting off the year a bit slow, but I guess I can always blame it on feeling sick. no I can't, that's still a cop-out. Hopefully next week will be looking brighter.

Did some sketching today, and finished this. Link and a fairy... exploring some sewer maze, I guess. Poor guy.

Started a new drawing today, but decided it would look better with perspective angles, so... spent most of the day reading multiple online tutorials and books on the subject, and then failing to understand what to do with it. Still sketching, though most of it has been too messy to be worth posting. I got a great deal on another drawing book recently, and.... it's kind of phenomenal just how different the two are from each other. Goodness, is this place still alive? Didn't mean to drop the update ball like that again. I have been drawing during the absence though, and even got a new drawing techniques book. It's..... um... "good" technically, because it discusses techniques like perspective and proportions which is what I really need to learn, but.... it kind of annoys me. ( Read more... )

I didn't post yesterday. D: The cycle is broken, nuuu! Even though no one is actually visiting, it's nice having something to push towards. I'm not good at keeping routines, or staying consistent, but I feel like this blog is a step towards bettering that, even if most of my daily sketches are finished just before midnight. So..
