Greetings! As the registration date (Saturday, October 25th) draws closer, we wanted to give you guys a little bit more information about the con events, the area around the hotel, and some travel information. It's the
Radisson Hotel, Boston, MA, located on 200 Stuart Street, Boston Massachusetts, 02116. The cost will be $119/night (plus taxes), and you'll be able to start booking your rooms at the con rate beginning in January. (We'll post further information on this closer to the date.)
The Radisson is in downtown Boston, located in Boston's Theatre District, right near the Boston Common, the Public Gardens, and Newbury Street and a short walk to downtown and the Freedom Trail. (See the
local attractions page on the hotel website.) The hotel is handicapped accessible. It has a heated indoor pool and a small fitness room. Every room comes with a balcony, SleepNumber beds, and complimentary high-speed, wireless Internet access. Be aware that all rooms at the hotel are smoke-free.
Note: you will not be able to hook up DVD players or VCRs to the hotels TVs.
Parking: Parking is $28/day for self-parking in the hotel lot and $30/day for valet parking in the hotel lot. There are a few other parking lots in the vicinity of the hotel, and we'll get some figures shortly on the costs and availability of all-day parking at those, but for the sake of convenience and access, the hotel parking is probably your best bet.
Food: There are two restaurants on-site at the Radisson:
the Theatre Café and the Rustic Kitchen. The Theatre Café is your basic hotel restaurant (which serves breakfast all day!), and the Rustic Kitchen is a little higher end (and higher priced). Both the Theatre Café and the Rustic Kitchen have full bars. Directly across the street from the hotel is a full mall-style food court for your more basic dining needs. There are also another half dozen restaurants within sight of the Radisson, including Legal Seafood, Maggiano’s, PF Chang's, and Rock Bottom Restaurant.
Jamboree Events
All official Muskrat Jamboree events take place on the mezzanine level of the hotel, which has been reserved exclusively for Muskrat events. The Con Suite is in the main ballroom and there are two break-off rooms for panels.
Registration:
- Registration officially begins at 8AM on Friday, April 3rd.
Panels:
- We will have two panels hourly from 9AM through 4PM on Friday, April 3rd, and from 9AM through 5PM on Saturday, April 4th, with a one-hour break for lunch at 12noon on both days.
- This is a multi-fandom Jamboree! So we're pulling together the greatest variety of panels we can.

Vid Show/Dance Party!
- There will be a vid show on Friday, April 3rd, beginning at 7PM.
mrsronweasley is your vid show doyenne! It will be a mixture of old favorites and new vids, and promises to be much fun!
- After the vid show, there will be a dance party with music, fun, and surprises!
- There will be a cash bar for both of these Friday evening events.
And for Saturday night, we are in the process of planning an optional, off-site event (not included in the registration fee), which promises to be tons of fun. Watch the comm. for updated info soonish!
Food in the Con Suite:
Friday, April 3rd: Coffee and tea will be provided in the morning, and snacks will be provided in the afternoon.
Friday Night Vid Show: Many appetizers!

Travel

Logan International Airport is the closest airport to the hotel.
How to get from Logan Int'l Airport to the Radisson Hotel, Boston:
* Distance: 5.2 miles
* Time by taxi: approx. 20 minutes. We'll have an airport ride-share post as the con gets closer.
*You can take the subway from the airport - there is a shuttle bus that will take you from the airport to the Blue Line, where you'll switch to the Green Line. From the Green Line, it's about a five-minute walk to the Radisson. We'll provide more specific subway directions as the con gets closer.
Your other airport options are:
Manchester Airport (MHT) in Manchester, NH
• Distance: 45 MI / 72.42 KM South to Hotel
• Travel time to the hotel: about 90 minutes
TF Green (PVD) in Providence, RI
• Distance: 60 MI / 96.56 KM North East to Hotel
• Travel time to the hotel: about 90 minutes
Train or Bus:
You can take the train or bus to Boston and it will take you to either South Station or North Station. You can hop on the T from those stations and be at the hotel in about 15 minutes or so, or catch a cab and be there in about five minutes. Again, more specific directions forthcoming!
