MJ 2009 Registration is coming up fast!
Hello! Welcome! muskratjamboree registration is a mere month away! If you haven't already heard:

Location: The Radisson Hotel in the heart of Boston, Massachusetts! (This is a CHANGE IN VENUE from last year! Better location, better amenities, more muskrats!)
So! Registration! On Saturday, October 25th, at 12noon Eastern Daylight Time, the registration post will go live on this community. Below is all the information you will need about how the registration process will work. Feel free to ask any questions in the comments of this entry!
In the coming week, we will have a post dedicated to all the logistical questions you may have regarding travel to Boston, parking, tourist info, food info, and when you will be able to book your hotel rooms. Please stay tuned!
Registration Begins:
- On Saturday, October 25, 2008 at 12noon Eastern Daylight Time: brooklinegirl will make a post to muskratjamboree entitled REGISTRATION NOW OPEN.
You must be 18 by October 25th 2008 in order to register for MJ.
The registration fee is $80.00 US.
- This includes admittance to all official Jamboree Events, including the Friday night vid show and dance party. It also includes the packet, program, and all Jamboree goodies.
Note: We are not offering supporting memberships this year.
How Does It Work?
You may register for yourself and/or ONE OTHER PERSON. We hope to accommodate anyone who cannot be online to register at that time.
If someone else registers for you, they will need to provide us with the information below, and we will require that you send us an age statement in response to our confirmation email.
Again: you may ONLY register for:
- yourself;
- yourself and ONE OTHER PERSON; or
- ONE OTHER PERSON only
The information you will need to provide us in your comment in order to be registered:
- Your real name (and/or the name of the person for whom you are registering)
- Name you would like on your badge (for EACH PERSON being registered)
- A valid email address (for EACH PERSON being registered)
- The method of payment you are intending to use: PayPal (preferred), Check (US Dollars only), Money Order (US Dollars only)
- Age Statement stating: I certify that I am 18 years or older. or I certify that I am 21 years or older.
NOTE: The badge name you provide will be the EXACT NAME that will appear on your badge. PLEASE indicate exactly how you would like it shown, including any punctuation and/or capitalization.
You will get a CONFIRMATION email stating that you are registered, pending payment.
If necessary, there will be a waitlist for those who do not get a spot in the first round of registrations. The waitlist post will go up on the Muskrat Jamboree Community as soon as all registration spots are filled, and will be first come, first served.
The comments on the registration post will be LOCKED. NO ONE will be able to see your responses besides the moderators.
Important:
Attendance is limited to the first 140 people who register. We will post to the muskratjamboree community when all the slots are filled. We must receive payment from you within SEVEN DAYS of registration. If we do not receive payment, your membership will be dropped and we will offer it to the first person on the waitlist.
To Pay:
PAYPAL (preferred):
- You may use PayPal to send your registration fee. Your subject line needs to have Muskrat Jamboree and your badge name in it.
CHECK OR MONEY ORDER:
- You may mail a check or money order in US dollars to me. If you indicate that you intend to pay via check or money order, your initial confirmation email will have my name and mailing address for you.
Once we receive your payment, you will get a FINAL CONFIRMATION email stating that you are a FULLY REGISTERED Muskrat Jamboree Attendee! \o/
You may cancel your registration or transfer it to another person without penalty (except PayPal fees) until February 1, 2009. After February 1st, we will not be processing cancellations, but you can still transfer your membership to another person. If you transfer a registration between February 1st and March 1st, it will cost an additional $5; between March 1st and March 21st it will cost an additional $10. After March 21, 2009, we will no longer process transfers or refunds.
