Today began at 7am with having to wait for three showers before I could get ready for the day. I had taken my shower the night before, hoping not to have to wait for the 3 girls, but I had to wait nonetheless. Today we got up early and went into town with the computer to find a hotel in Rome for the night. After having to travel to our third Internet site we finally got Internet, and Jenn and I found a hotel (Hotel Contilia) near one of the subway stations in Rome for $129 all together. Where to begin?! I suppose I’ll start with our train ride, which once again started at 8am. I’m getting too old to sleep 5 hours and tromp around an ancient city in the blazing heat. Whew. What a day! The morning began with some scurrying about the villa, and Jenn, Ai, and I headed down to catch the 8am train to Rome. This time we were catching that dammed train. The rest of the gang went to a famous lake between here and Rome today, but Jenn and I instead stayed back and did our own thing at the villa.
