((2.0 ended and 2.5 began, but the idea of this thing is still the same. Leave me feedback for the character(s) I play. I'm currently playing Daryan Crescend here at musical_cocoon and that's it. But who knows what the future (and peer pressure) might bring ( Read more... )

((Well first of all you started your OOC with (( and ended it with ]]!! Clearly you are a subpar RPer.

I want Trucy to go through a short phase of "fuck my old daddeh" so a scene with Valant would be great :D And please try to escape from Bloodspill XDDD))

I'd like to see more of Redd please :) He's the best part of the prison and things have been too quiet!

You're right Anon, things HAVE been too quiet in prison, it's rather strange.

I've actually have a couple of scene ideas for Redd, like a flashback to a couple of weeks before Mia's murder and an idea or two for a von Karma interaction. I just need to get off my ass and do those because Redd's life and for that matter, prison life altogether shouldn't revolve entirely around Phoenix Wright, Diego Armando, and Matt Engarde.

Thanks for the comment.

I don't like your Redd at all. I haven't seen any scenes with him that feel like the character. Although the idea of him talking like a retard being an act is interesting, it doesn't seem to fit (everything from him punching Wright in the face to nearly being defeated to murdering Mia has him keeping up that "act" until the very extreme, while your Redd seems to stop acting at a pindrop), which really doesn't help.

Even without that, he just doesn't feel like the character to me and he's just pretty boring. The execution scene, for example, was an interesting idea, but the conclusion felt pretty forced, if not silly. What was the point of any of that?

On the other hand, I really like your Valant. With Trucy, he's adorable, and you alliterate amazingly. :)

Thanks for the comment, Anon.

I don't want to sound like I'm making a bunch of excuses over Redd's stuff and you do make a bunch of valid points, but I've been trying to distance myself from my portrayal as Redd back in the ever cracktacular GSRP 1.0 edition, where he was a mostly harmless buffoon and as you probably noticed from a retcon post that ultimately proved useless, his vocabulary has been an issue since 2.0's start because I just can't make up my mind in how to make him talk while doing something else that makes him stand out other than "He talks funny".

Out of the three characters I play, Redd's the one that's been through alot of experimentation, I would say and it will probably keep being that way. I'll keep your comments in mind.

And it's funny that you like Valant because I always feel that I just fall apart as him during the end of scenes. But that could just be because he's the "new guy" to me.

Again, thanks for the response.

I like your Redd. He's arrogant, the center of the universe and takes so much pride in killing a woman/blackmailing the hell out of people/other fun illegal things that it almost makes me sick -- but that is the way his character is supposed to be. A manipulative, cocky bastard who would probably slit his mother's throat for a nickel. Driven by money and power, Redd is the reason the world turns ( ... )

I have to agree on most of these points. Though I was originally a little blase on Redd's speech patterns, and irritated that they weren't closer to the canon, it makes enough sense that he would stop caring about it when he got into prison that it doesn't bother me anymore. If you think about it, he was using 10-dollar-words because he thought that would impress the people who he was dealing with, but here in prison the only thing that impresses is brute strength, which he's now brought to the forefront. I would love to see him interact with some of the prisoners who he'd perceive to be a threat, like Gant or vK. Put that damn chess scene on your to-do list ( ... )

Like I said in the chat, I just realized that while the anon's comments have valid points, Redd's in jail and Diego, Wright and I guess now Edgeworth are out there telling their story with Redd to anyone that asks so the chances are putting on the big vocabulary isn't going to be effective or needed unless I want to do another retcon. I'm gonna have to think about that kind of stuff for him more ( ... )

All I have to say right now are mostly suggestions. I would really, really love to flesh out April and Redd's relationship, and get them interacting more. I'm thinking the next event coming up will give us an oppurtunity to do so. But, maybe, we could take some time to plan out which direction we want to take their relationship to go, if you'd like. I do like Gef's suggestion about pulling some strings in the outside world through April, and that would take some planning, but if you're up for it, I am.

On another note, I'm really fond of your Daryan. When I was scoping out the RP before joining, he was the one of the characters that impressed me that impressed me the most. You clearly have a good handle on his personality and development and enjoy playing him, which are wonderful things to see.

Yeah, pulling strings in the outside world requires Redd to have a reason to mess with someone's affairs. With Phoenix and Diego, that's easier than thinking of something for say, Edgeworth. As for getting a new puppet for Redd, that would be even harder because..well, who hasn't heard Redd's life story and isn't disgusted but intriged? (Though blackmail works, but that's going back to pulling strings)

And thanks, though it's kind of weird to hear that a relatively minor character like Daryan impressed someone scoping out the RP.
