I really loved yesterday's episode too. Garnet's grammatically correct sign killed me, and then her grinning and flipping it over was perfect. Also the holo pearl fusion was hilarious. OF COURSE IT FUSES

It fuses by DOING THE ROBOT DANCE. Also the bowing made me think of Aang and Sokka in Ba Sing Se.

I was surprised that the show paired Connie with Ruby but then after a second it did make sense. It wouldn't have made sense at the beginning of Connie but she's done the most changing of the series

And yeah, I wonder if those butterflies indicate that Sapphire had to do some bad things for Blue Diamond, or if it's just all the potential futures she sees making her anxious. Or some combination of the two.

and I was kind of glad they didn't go for the jealousy route over Connie making a new friend, or even being able to make friends at all when Steven is so isolated.

That didn't even occur to me! I was afraid they were going to make Connie jealous that Steven could also fuse with Amethyst! So I'm glad they avoided both of those things.

yeah I definitely thought the swarm of sapphire's butterflies was because of future vision, which only makes sense. Also it makes sense that she'd find it so appealing to be able to share Ruby's straightforward singlemindedness, it's probably a huge relief. Even if presented with multiple choices, Ruby (and Garnet) seems likely to just PICK ONE LETS TRY IT rather than fretting over possibilities. And it also seems like sometimes Sapphire can't see the way out of a situation because of all the possibilities and so she doesn't act, whereas Ruby isn't bogged down by all that and has no trouble finding a new path just by punching.

I was surprised we haven't seen Steven tell Connie about fusing, right. I wonder if we're coming back to that? But then again seems like some time has passed her so maybe not.

They've held stuff for a long while on occasion before coming back to it, so it might just come up again further down the road. I don't think Connie will be jealous? I hope not, anyway. But I guess we'll see!
