I'm sorry, but as a lifelong DC/Superman/Batman fan, any complaints that the criticism by critics is because they're in Marvel's pockets...BvS has major problems with basic facts about the characters. I've retyped this a couple times to try and keep it spoiler free, although I think the most basic illustration that has no bearing on the plot of the movie is that BATMAN USES HANDGUNS. I mean, there can be ways to work around the idea of the Batmobile having types of guns or the Bat plane, but Batman himself using a handgun in any shape or form is just not understanding the backstory of the character at ALL. Fans should be pissed about that and all the other mischaracterisation. Not bad reviews because they're so caught up in "all things DC are holy". The WW moments were great because anyone who's smiling through a battle scene is awesome! How her few moments were so easy and effortless and fun, and yet I continually wanted to smack Batfleck in the face...(I saw it last night - and yet I want to buy it to mock the badness that is ( ... )

Don't worry about spoilers on my account! I totally spoiled myself for it since I'm not planning to see it.

But yes, when I read about the GUNS and the BRANDING I was like, wow, so not only do they not understand Superman, they also don't get Batman!

I thought BvS was pretty entertaining. There are lots of issues with it, and its general dumbness of plot is on a par with Age of Ultron, but I liked it. I went into the movie prepared to utterly hate it, based on reviews, and found it to be nothing at all like I expected based on those reviews. (ETA: and I should say, I am someone who won't even entertain discussion about Man of Steel because it is Not My Superman and I try to pretend that movie doesn't actually exist. So that's sort of my baseline.)

I'm glad you enjoyed it and found it entertaining. Basically nothing except Wonder Woman sounds appealing to me.

(I also didn't like Age of Ultron much, but it didn't enrage me quite as much as Man of Steel did, or maybe I was just able to ignore/recontextualize the things I thought were wrong in AoU, whereas I felt MoS didn't understand Superman at all and was thus too flawed to forgive.)

i didn't catch that major had reverted either! the milk comment totally didn't register. so when he went all zombie red-eye, i was very confused! i was a little disappointed in ravi for breaking into major's safe, but major was acting so squirrely about minor, i can almost understand it.

i loved the way liv found out drake was an undercover cop - by talking to his mom! and going through old photos! surprise!

all that and peyton, too!

my mom saw bvs twice - once with my cousin's kids and once with my sister - and LOVED IT. i'm not 100% sure why she loved it so much, just that she did.

Yeah, I just figured it was the stress of the situation! But no, the milk was a tipoff.

I think it was both Major acting so weird about Minor and Minor being tied to the chaos killer that pushed Ravi into doing it. I don't blame him. I'd want to know if my roommate were a serial killer! Even if it's just zombies he's killing.

I guess it's nice that someone did. *g*

I had the same problems with Pimento you did, so I'm happy he's gone, but I'm also very glad that at least his presence brought us this episode. I loved the co-maids of honor and the bachelorette parties.

"nine nine!"

It's amazing to me how iZombie constantly manages to be so densely plotted and sub-plotted and angsty yet also free-wheeling, fun, and fluffy in the same episode. Damn, this show burns through plot. I didn't catch on that Major had started reverting either and initially thought he'd zombied out due to the massive stress and panic of Ravi knowing all the Chaos Killer stuff and confronting him on it.

Barry made so many bad, arrogant decisions that I was nearly cringing as I watched the beginning of the episode, but I was happy to see Thawne!Wells again too and wondering if Hartley on Team Flash's side is the only major change Barry's time trip caused. If a lot of fanfic doesn't get written as a result of the scene of handcuffed Barry in the secret room with Thawne!Wells, I'd be quite surprised. *g*

Exactly!

That's what I thought too until I read the AV Club review and I was like, "So that's why they had that conversation!"

I was happy to see Thawne!Wells again too and wondering if Hartley on Team Flash's side is the only major change Barry's time trip caused.

I'd bet that Hartley being a reserve member of Team Flash is probably the only positive change (well, and Barry showing Iris Eddie's video) and that the repercussions will unfold gradually and be terrible, and possibly lead to the return of Thawne!Wells. I'm just guessing, though.

There's no way Thawne!Wells wouldn't find a way to use the new things he learned to his advantage. It seems to be a tradition now that Team Flash helps turn him into an even bigger threat.

Exactly! As long as they keep finding ways to keep Tom Cavanagh around, I'm all right. He's like the opposite of Barrowman - so far he's not worn out his welcome at all!
