>>And of course Dottie will always be in Peggy's head. And hopefully places less metaphorical as the years pass.<<

hee! i love how she keeps popping up. i thought angie was in the dream sequence as peggy's non-dudely third option, but i'll take dottie too.

the ptb did kind of drop the ball with wilkes. he's been a little bit of a plot device and motivation for peggy more than he's been a character in his own right. i didn't quite buy him pulling a gun on her and vanishing through the wall of the van, altho his "you can't let me be around people! i'm dangerous!" protective thing seemed more like something he'd do.

thompson and sousa working together was gold. it kind of makes me want to smack him but i like that thompson reliably channels his inner asshole at practically every opportunity, and i like that he can also be a genuinely smart guy. i'm not totally sure blowing up the gamma ray machine will kill whitney, tho. but it's really not a bad plan.

Yeah, I thought both Dottie and Angie were meant to be rivals for Peggy's affection. I just never really felt strongly about Angie one way or the other. *hands*

They really did. Using the imagery of a black man being experimented on/tortured without any acknowledgement that that was actually happening in 1947 at the hands of the government, and especially in a Cap-tangential property, where we have Isaiah and Eli Bradley specifically calling that out...yeah. That was not good.

There's nothing more dangerous than a shark in pants! I wonder if they had Cisco use "Mrs. Landrem" to remind the audience that she's King Shark's alternate Earth wife, but it does annoy.

Huh. Maybe? But I like to think the audience would remember from two scenes ago. (Otoh, as a writer, I am sometimes guilty of not trusting the audience at all, so...)

I like Wally being shirty, I don't think he's been awful or anything. But I was hoping Wally 2 was Zoom. Mostly because I am so completely meh about Jay.

The song and dance was GREAT! And heh, yeah, yay for Dottie - and for Peggy dancing with her and Angie (briefly) as well as the dudes. Totally agreed with Wilkes :(

I remember loving The Thirteenth Tale's beginning - and I do like the twist - but yeah, too obvious. Gothic doesn't need to have a romance though, definition-wise.

Yeah, this version of Jay has been kind of sad for someone who is a Golden Age comics legend.

Good to know!
