First, a couple of links, one new and old a few weeks old:

+ Sandra Bullock in talks to lead all-female Ocean's 11 reboot. I NEED IT. PLEASE DON'T SUCK. Clooney is involved as a producer, so hopefully it's not a full-on reboot, just a related property (and he can cameo as Danny Ocean, passing the baton to his...sister? as played by Sandra Bullock ( Read more... )

I got the impression it would be a full reboot, with Danny Ocean played by Bullock, not a passing of the baton on screen. That said, lets see George Clooney play Ted, the true love Sandra Bullock wants to win back while she crushes her rival, Terrie Benedict, played by Kristin Chenoweth.

It probably is a full reboot, but I'm going to keep hoping for a 'soft' reboot/same universe, different characters thing for now. And as much as I'd love to see Clooney in the Tess role, I'm also kind of hoping they'll just leave her as a lady.

ravi is indeed THE BEST. he was going to look for someone to play "cowgirl and indian" with him. hee! i too love that he named the dog minor. i didn't catch the rita/gilda thing, because i don't ever hear anyone call her by name, but that's pretty slick. i like it.

i liked peyton in s1 mostly because i liked that liv had a friend outside work. but i especially like that they've worked her into the overall plot now. i keep waiting for clive to be clued in, and he keeps being... not. it's getting kind of frustrating, altho i don't think i'd buy it if everyone knows about the zombies.

an all-female oceans 11 reboot sounds really, really cool. i hope it comes to pass and doesn't suck.

Ooh, that Ocean's 11 reboot news is potentially exciting. I mean, I remember when gender-flipping the cast was a game we mere cinema-goers played, but I'm delighted Hollywood is inching towards having lots of (different types of) ladies on screen together.
