i realize this is possibly a dumb question, but the bucky&steve fics i've read total three (plus one bucky and one natasha), and two of them are au's, and they've all got reasonably happy/hopeful endings - you know, bucky's not totally fixed but he's a whole person with his own life - with steve, natch - but... why WOULDN'T people write some hope into his story? what's the point of hurt/comfort if there's no comfort? i'm with you on that - the recovery should be difficult and painful, but there should be a recovery.

and the next thing you know, the rest of the avengers are entertaining themselves sticking fridge magnets to his arm and steve has to keep reminding him to use a glass and stop drinking milk from the carton. :D

(i am endlessly entertained by the mental image of fridge magnets on bucky's arm. and magnetic poetry.)

I have no idea. Or other people's ideas of comfort are a lot less comforting to me. *hands*

Yeah, the Tony/Felix kiss didn't work for me either. While I get what they were trying to do with Tony pushing buttons, the whole situation felt contrived, like the writers were arranging a situation to service the kiss rather than having them act as real people would.

They better not kill off Cosima.
