Cool. Authentic or not, it turns out delicious. *g*

I really enjoyed Veronica Mars! It really seemed like an episode of the show. Just longer. And with closure. I didn't quite get the bit about Logan in the military - and, wow, he looked super-skinny in that uniform. :/ It was such an enjoyable movie. I did feel bad for Piz but, like my friend was saying, this movie was always going to end up with Logan and Veronica. The bit with Weevil was heartbreaking and there was something so so seedy about Neptune and the police force. It was very well done; noir is a good way to term it.

That soda bread looks very tasty. The soda bread that I'd be most used to doesn't tend to have any fruit in it at all but that looks good.

Yeah, it was like a double episode with lots of satisfying fanservice. Logan as a Naval fighter pilot strains credulity, though, without some backstory explaining how he survived the training, given his tendency to mouth off and throw punches at the slightest provocation. I guess it really was some kind of "An Officer and a Gentleman" thing. But I was so happy overall that I'm willing to handwave.

That is what I've heard, but it's good with raisins in it, if you don't mind having raisins in things.

The Naval thing didn't make much sense at all - for precisely those reasons. They're now talking about maybe doing a sequel and I don't know how I feel about it? I'd rather have a miniseries, at this point.

And I love raisins in all the thing so it sounds pretty tasty to me!

There are also going to be tie-in novels, but I don't think Rob Thomas is writing those, so...we'll see?

Yeah, I can't remember what the issue was either, with the actress, but you're probably right. Though not having heard Leighton Meester sing, maybe they should have switched and had Dianna Agron's character be the pop star? She was much less visible on the show, too, since she was hiding her pregnancy away.

The soda bread I make (just a recipe I found on a packet of rye flour) is savoury - no sugar or raisins. I really like the look of this one though. And soda bread's basically the easiest thing to make ever so I suspect I'll be trying this recipe very soon!

I only skimmed your review, to avoid spoilers, but I'm very much looking forward to Veronica Mars. Maybe now they know Kickstarter is a viable option they'll fund others that way :)

It's really easy to make. We just poured the wet ingredients in over the dry ingredients and mixed until it formed dough. I recommend it!

And yeah, it'll be interesting to see what happens with Kickstarter and media.

I was less happy to see Weevil back on his bike at the end, because honey, no! You have the hot wife and the adorable baby! Go home to them and let Veronica sort it out. I can handle Veronica being sucked back into the trap of Neptune, because it's where she does her best work, but you truly got out of your old life and into a healthier, better one! Don't let someone like Celeste Kane take that from you!

I know! I was like noooooo weeeeeeevil, don't let Neptune grind you down! :(

I hope we get more movies or Weevil is in the novels. He deserves to be happy.

Yes! Veronica chooses to throw away a life that she was never that interested in when she comes back to Neptune. Weevil had a life that made him happy and now it's being taken away and I just want him to have it back!
