While I wasn't sleeping the other night (lately, I either can't sleep at all or can't stop sleeping and I just feel tired all the time), I realized that even if someone doesn't write me THE MILLS SISTERS, SAVING PEOPLE, HUNTING THINGS, THE FAMILY BUSINESS AU, I can write it myself. After yuletide, of course.

Okay, so HIVE's deal:

[Possible spoilers? But mostly for comics stuff.](Bear with me, it's been years and years since I read any of this.) HIVE is the group Deathstroke was working for when he was arching the Titans all that time - in Judas Contract that's who he delivers them to. Slade has three kids in the comics and the oldest, Grant, decided he wanted to go into the merc business like his dad for reasons that escape me now and called himself Ravenger. HIVE hired him to go after the Titans and shot him up with an experimental formula that basically gave him super soldier abilites but eventually killed him. By the time Slade found out it was too late to do anything about it and when Grant was dying Slade agreed to take over the contract (although I don't think Grant knew Slade was his dad - this was when Slade was still running around calling himself the Terminator, I believe.) This started Slade's feud with the Titans, which went on until Judas Contract and they managed to come to a truce - Jericho joined the team that story

Oh, interesting. In the comics, I mostly know Slade from later on, when he shows up in Dick's bathroom to write notes on his steamed-up mirror etc. And from Teen Titans Go, of course, where he's the best villain.

I'm wondering if she used some of the magic skeletons (which would mean she knows what they are, which is more than she should know.)

I didn't even think of that. I just thought it was going to be some ~mystical Chinese healing~ thing. Also, the internet was confusing/confused - she's not actually Conner Hawke's mom, right?

(And on Spartacus her character and Manu Bennet's character were lovers, so at their interaction in this should be fun at least.

I did not know that! I need to watch Spartacus at some point.

Yeah, Judas Contract is the first appearance of Disco Nightwing, so we're going way back for HIVE.

No, no, no - well, she is the mom of his older son, Robert, but not Conner. But Shado's also a high up in the yakuza in the comics, so things have been changed. (Although I still think she's League.)

Ah, okay, I guess that is where the confusion was coming from. I don't think I knew he had two sons.

I did know that she was Japanese/yakuza in the comics. Also that Yao Fei was one of the Great Ten in the comics.

I agree that she is probably League - if she wasn't then, she is now.

I'm writing a crossover between Sleepy Hollow and SPN for Nano still and now I've included a couple scenes with Harry Potter. It's focusing on Jenny and I seem to be writing a lot of Jo too. It's basically crack at this point. Hopefully with editing it will become *Not Crack* anymore.
