By the time I actually post this - I have been poking at it all morning - this might be old news or it might be debunked but! Schmoes Know confirms Michael B. Jordan is cast as Johnny Storm in the F4 reboot. \o/ (nb: as always do not read the comments)Peter/Johnny shippers, please restart your engines. Too bad there can't be canon crossovers. Awesome on Michael B. Jordan, I've loved him since his All My Children days.

from a sherlock's-background angle, this episode was just heartbreaking. jlm is completely amazing. i love that sherlock can be so arrogant as to think he's eminently qualified to pass judgement on who's a threat and who isn't - i mean, sometimes he is so mind-bogglingly full of himself - and at the same time he's just a walking ball of care and empathy. but the fact that he was so socially ostracized and so miserable at fifteen that a girl who'd killed her dad was his best (well, only) option for friendship is the saddest thing. i occasionally wonder how he developed such a capacity to care, since it doesn't seem like he saw a lot of it as a kid.

Yeah, it was really well done from that aspect, even if the coincidences are a bit much - at least the show lampshaded that they knew it.

I think possibly Sherlock and Mycroft were a little less antagonistic as kids? Or there's someone else from his past who showed him some kindness and compassion at some point, since he does have the capacity for them, despite his behavior sometimes.
