Batffleck is just such a dull choice. I'm not a fan.

A Hiketeia movie would be just too amazing. And not just for Wondie stepping on Batman's neck, but that is definitely a big reason.

It really would, though I guess it wouldn't be superhero-y enough for the mainstream.

I haven't seen her in anything so I have no judgement except that she's not who I would picture in the role. Apparently the kid from Kick-Ass will be playing Pietro. *hands* I don't know his work either.

Hollywood really dropped the ball with Wonder Woman.

Not Aaron Johnson, I hope! If so I think I'd be more upset than over Ben Affleck. :/

That does seem to be the name in the rumors. I don't know who he is so I have no opinion atm.

and I agree about WW. I don't get why it's any more difficult than Thor or Superman (not that they seem capable of making a Superman movie at this time either, but you know what I mean).

The thing is, I feel like Ben could be a somewhat fun choice if the movie was going to be a little campy, instead of the grimdark epic I'm sure they're going to try to produce. (And I can't help thinking that there SHOULD be a campy element to Batman. I mean, he's a guy dressed as a giant bat. Though it's easy to go overboard.) He's not a good actor, but I like him for some of the work he's done - some of Kevin Smith's films, his directorial work, some of his bit parts.

But I'm pretty sure it's going to be a disaster. And what burns me up is that, they could be making a Wonder Woman movie RIGHT NOW, instead of this probable trainwreck.

Yeah, I think it's the combination of factors - I don't think he has the real gravitas to pull it off, but I also think Zack Snyder is pretty awful (I thought Man of Steel was pretty shitty as a Superman movie), and I'm also angry that we're getting YET MORE Batman and we still haven't had any Wonder Woman.

When they make "The Hiketeia" Wonder Woman it should be Gina Torres. But then again they would screw that casting up too.

Well, I've wanted Gina Torres as Wonder Woman for years now, but by the time they get around to it, who knows who will fit the part?
