people have died in his good name

This morning, the line at Starbucks was literally out the door (and I do mean literally - I was standing outside, holding the door open) but strangely enough, L. and A2 showed up on line behind me. SO WEIRD. But A and A2 are staying at a hotel near my office, and L is staying with them while they're here, I guess, so we had a random chance ( Read more... )

I really, really want Neal's dad to be more complicated than this.

Actually, rather than have him not be the dad, it would be amazing if he WAS the dad but also a really shitty guy who had killed people and was now trying to con his own son.

Though I nearly burst into tears when he complemented Neal's artwork.

While I think that would be super interesting, I don't think White Collar is ever going to be that show.

Lol, I agree. It's the problem with reading so much fic - I expect everyone to have the backstory from Hell.

I basically want an episode of Arrow entitled "Felicity and Dig's Awesome, Wonderful, Very Good Day" where they spar, break into the NSA, and then go out for smoothies. Oliver can hang out in the background doing half-naked exercises. Is this a thing I can have?

I would watch that every week!

i'm with rosalui - i want neal's dad to be actually dad, but also actually a bad guy, and not the "i was framed" innocent cop they seem to be giving us.

mozzie's ice cream cart made me want ice cream! and there's nowhere to get ice cream around here at eleven at night.

I think that would be really interesting and unexpected, but I don't think White Collar is ever going to be that show. Though I suppose it could surprise me.

Mozzie's ice cream cart was great. Luckily, I usually have the ingredients on hand if I want ice cream at odd hours. *g*

I would have been interested in seeing how a relationship with Jessica and Clint could have been taken seriously but this is just...meh. Dumb. It does both characters a disservice, though obviously way moreso with Jessica than with Clint. Ugh. I don't love the way KSD wrote Jessica in the last Avengers Assemble either, though she had some funny lines, so maybe I just don't like the character?

Have you liked her in Captain Marvel? I haven't read much with her in it (well, 616!Jess; I love Ultimate Jess for ~reasons that I won't spoil if you haven't read Ultimate Spider-man).

I just wish they'd treat the relationship as important - I mean, even if they're just friends with benefits, I'd like to see it treated respectfully instead of going for the crazy jealous girlfriend trope.

Fraction said that the next Hawkeye is going to be from the Natasha, Bobbi, Jessica & Kate's perspective so we'll see. He also said that Clint is a super shitty boyfriend, so there's that.

I've read SW: Origins and Agent of SWORD and I know her storyline in Avrngers and New Avengers is...fraught will sad, awful stuff. I think that it's possible I was just already on the defensive after reading her in Hawkeye that it affected how I read her in the most recent Avengers Assemble do we'll see. I really do like how KSD writes the Jessica & Carol friendship in CM and how she wrote Spider-Woman and Hulk in her first Avengers arc.

I just love Clint so much that I don't want to have to hate him based on how he treats another character that I've grown to love a lot. Meh. Shared universe comics is hard.

Maybe someday I'll get around to reading Ultimates. I tried and have failed, but more and more I'm starting to see the allure.

That's good, on both fronts.

Ah. I like Clint, but he's not even in my top five favorites. He might be in the lower half of my top ten, if I figured that out.

Maybe someday I'll get around to reading Ultimates. I tried and have failed, but more and more I'm starting to see the allure.

NO! DON'T! YOU'LL ONLY REGRET THE HOURS OF YOUR LIFE AND THE SHITTY, SHITTY CHARACTERIZATION.

I mean, read Ultimate Spider-man, for it is awesome. but just skip the rest of that universe and consider yourself lucky.
