Teen Wolf

So that was kind of hilariously over the top, huh? I don't think it made a whole lot of sense but I don't really care that much, though I do have some complaints:

nitpicky spoilers )

hot xover pairings, tv: teen wolf, tv: political animals, you should totally write that, tv: firefly

I'm shipping Scott and Stiles now too. Seriously, BBFS turned lovers is one of my favorite tropes and this season has been ridic with BFFS moments.

That was kind of a mess of a finale for me, honestly. It seemed like nothing really happened aside from Jackson now being a werewolf (which is gonna make him insufferable I bet). And I really don't like...pretty much everything between Stiles and Lydia post her finding the bracelets because he's now in Nice Guy territory and I'm like :| But I want Peter to stay and just judge Derek's life choices for the REST OF THE SHOW.

ME, TOO. And that last scene of them together was lovely.

I don't think it made a whole lot of sense? but I don't mind because my expectations for this show are more that it be over the top and entertaining than that it be sense-making.

But I want Peter to stay and just judge Derek's life choices for the REST OF THE SHOW.

YES. THIS.

i wanted to reach into the screen and slap douglas and susan SO HARD. just... YARGH. i did like how it seemed to follow kind of organically from the previous scenes, tho, and didn't feel like drama for its own sake. and i was actually liking douglas up until then! his conversation with susan made him more of a person and less like just elaine hammond's son and flunky. (what's his actual position in her office? i have no idea.) (for all that tj and his story are a giant walking cliche, i never thought douglas was particularly interesting. but listening to him talking about his life in the white house and how he proposed to anne made me like him.)

anne and margaret were a hoot. i love that margaret called anne out on her bulimia, because someone has to and i don't think anyone else has even noticed. margaret's no-bullshit policy is a nice contrast to all the politicking everywhere else.

and man, bud talking to tj about listening to him play the piano broke my heart. and i admit i giggled when he punched collins in the face.

Oh, it totally felt organic, and I thought it gave Doug some personality besides "the driven, good son" (I think he's Elaine's Chief of Staff?) but ugh.

*nod nod*

She doesn't have anything to lose by being a straight-talker, and she goes right for it, no sugarcoating.

Yes. That's exactly it - they made Scott the one who could absolve her, when that is not how that should play out.

I love your post-game Teen Wolf take!

I do have one question. A lot of people are saying Allison has to atone, etc. But I'm sort of feeling more like she doesn't. Derek killed her mom, and we know she has mixed feels about the "death" at Derek's hands of her grandfather. If she decides to do what she was born to do - who can blame her? All of Season One she was wailing about wanting to do more, be MORE than the damsel in distress and now she is. From her perspex, doesn't it seem like a win?

She WAS pretty vicious with Isaac - I thought he was dead OMG. But he popped right up again, so no harm done?

I dunno... may have to post on my LJ to get into the hive mind on this one, appreciate your brainy thoughts...

I don't mind at all! I love the discussion - and lord knows after that finale, we NEED to try to make sense of it all ( ... )

Derek didn't kill her mom - Derek bit her mom, who was trying to kill Scott at the time. Her mother decided to commit suicide, but that was her choice; she survived the bite, so she likely would have survived the change and could have lived a long and fruitful life.

Allison attacked and tortured Boyd and Erica, two people who had nothing to do with Derek biting her mom. That strikes me as something she needs to atone for.

If she had gone after Derek, I would have less of a problem with what she did.
