Peter Jackson owns us. It could be worse, though.

I'm interested to see what else they feel needed to be told.

elaine and diane susan were just fabulous. (not sure why susan decided to sleep with her ex, but whatever.) watching these women negotiate the halls of power and their relationships with each other is a total pleasure. and yeah, the flashbacks were much better and i liked the little reveal about bud deliberately torpedoing himself during elaine's previous campaign. and i quite liked tj making out with a girl and a boy - and that douglas proposed to anne while he was high, heh - but seriously, dude, stop apologizing and making excuses and start acting like an adult.

i'm not sure how i feel about the hobbit suddenly becoming a trilogy either. did they film everything in the book? what did they add? i'll see all of them, but i'm not sure dragging one book into three movies - and not even a very long book, either - is necessarily a great idea.

Yeah, I don't know why she did either, but other than that unfortunate personal decision, I'm really enjoying all the ladies being smart and powerful on this show.

Seriously! You're not a kid anymore, TJ. It might have been excusable when you were 17 or 21, but not anymore.

I have no idea. I know there was something mentioned about the appendices, so maybe they wanted to do more with the necromancer during his time in Mirkwood?

I thought of you this evening when I left work late and almost ran into a guy who was basically the baby Sebastian Stan and the guy who played Neil on The Office (UK) must have had years ago.

Sadly, I cannot be happy about the Hobbit news. I was already irritated that 1) they were making it, and 2) that it was two films, since the source material doesn't warrant it.

Now it just feels like a cow being milked for more than it's worth, long after the milk was anywhere close to fresh.

But then, I hate Return of the King (the film), so I'm guessing I'm pretty alone in my views.

I think a lot of people are concerned? But I like Peter Jackson's vision of Middle Earth, so I don't mind the opportunity to spend more time there.

Completely legitimate. I like the set design and casting (a LOT), but loathe the scripting and often the directing. Plus, I just don't care very much about the Hobbit storyline, or leading up the the Lord of the Rings (the Silmarillion's more my thing, since I'm a very boring person).
