we'll put on the day and we'll wear it 'til the night comes
Last night, about halfway through Political Animals, I texted 
angelgazing to register my disappointment that it was the halfway mark of the episode and TJ hadn't made out with anybody yet! I did not approve! And then the show came back from commercial to TJ making out with a girl on his lap and the dude next to him on the couch! THREESOME FOR THE WIN. I should have had more faith in the show and in TJ. *g*
I liked the episode - I thought the flashbacks were much more believable this time and they actually gave us new information and then put a nice twist on it in the present - that Bud had deliberately let himself be the scapegoat when Elaine's campaign was failing, and it was a nice moment between him and Doug, who I like but am kind of unexcited about, though his stuff with TJ is good. Also, TJ, you amuse me ("Why are all dad's old friends such awful cultural stereotypes?") but you are becoming tiresome. Take some damn responsibility for your life, would you?
Where the show was best was with Elaine and Diane Nash, and then Elaine and Susan. I am totally shipping them - Elaine and Susan, I mean, because seriously. More of Elaine and Susan, and less of Bud and his redneck friends, please.

In other news, apparently there is going to be a third Hobbit movie. I am not sure how I feel about it? But I guess if Peter Jackson wants to make films of his Tolkien fanfic, I will continue to go see them. *hands*

I totally forgot to mention this, but I did a recs update on Friday:
