get out of that state you're in

I meant to do things today - run some errands, answer some comments - but it was disgustingly humid so I ended up staying inside and rewatching Fellowship of the Ring until it was time to go to dinner. Which I had with tenaciousmetoo, innie_darling, and dotfic. It was delightful.

Then I came home and watched White Collar, also delightful, and I think I might go to bed soon, since ( Read more... )

tv: white collar, tv: leverage, podfic, you should totally write that, fannishness

What an excellent critique of Brave. I thoroughly enjoyed the movie, moreso when Merida wasn't actually married at the end of it.

I thought so, too. And yes! I was so happy there was no pastede on romance or marriage.

First season, emotionally damaged Nate was interesting, plus I loved what he had with Maggie (Nero Wolf flashbacks will make me see chemistry even it is only remembered, but I think they had real chemistry anyway). Season 2 on alcoholic Nate, who has recovered from his son's death is not interesting and I see no chemistry between him and Sophie. I love Parker and Hardison. I love Eliot. I like Sophie on her own. Nate is the weak link. With Hardison starting to take charge, I wonder if the show is planning to slowly move Nate to the side. Hey, as long as Spencer comes back and continues to win, I'm happy. Mark Sheppard makes everything better.

Yeah, I like Sophie on her own and with the other team members and with Tara, but Nate is a drag on her and everyone else.

i didn't even realize that was adam baldwin in eliot's flashback until i read someone's reaction post. clearly i am not the most observant. i loved the flashback, tho, and all of eliot's bitching about how hard it is to come up with a good brewpub menu, and of course all the fights and the bit with the teddy bear. hee. hardison and parker continue to be adorable and i agree that yes, there was too much nate. i'm with percysowner - he doesn't have any chemistry with sophie, which makes all their coupley scenes feel kind of forced. but sophie, i like.

Yeah, it was totally him! And the Angel shout-out! Hee! I wondered if he'd been on the show last season and we were supposed to know who the character was, or if it was just a fun cameo. The teddy bear! The menu! Oh, Eliot, never stop being precious.

Oh good. I spent the whole flash back debating whether that was Adam Baldwin or not, then lolling over the tall comment. Also Parker/Hardison = most adorable couple EVER.

Eliot and Adam Baldwin being badasses together made the episode! So fun! So awesome. I wish the show skewed more to that and less to Nate.

Me, too. Nate should show up for five minutes in the beginning to meet with the client, and then for five minutes at the end to give the client their money, and leave everything else to the rest of the team.
