So this morning at Starbucks, the lady wrote Virginia instead of Victoria on my cup. Then one of my co-workers called me Veronica. I DON'T UNDERSTAND. There are only, like, FIVE common names that start with a V. WHY IS IT SO HARD FOR PEOPLE TO GET THEM RIGHT ( Read more... )

I'm so frustrated with the changes/cancellation of A:EMH. I'd understand if the ratings sucked but from what I understand, they totally don't.

Seriously. It's a good show! And given what DC is doing with Young Justice, and what's going on with Korra, it's not like kids shows can't do serialization well. So I think it's just a poor choice by Marvel, or Jeph Loeb anyway.

Mine is virtually never spelled right and only occasionally the differently-spelled version. Like, I would totally understand the Sara/Sarah confusion, if my name were Sara or Sarah, but most of the time it would be Stacey or Tara or Darla or every once in a while, like, Patricia Lynn or something.

As my order is such that when I send one of my children to SBux with a piece of paper with what I want, the barista is all, oh, hey, you look just like your mother, I am certain it's not that I have confused my drink with someone else's when this happens, so...WTF.

Maybe tomorrow someone will call you Violet.

Heh. I occasionally get Gloria and occasionally Theresa or Maria (which is just... a big WTF?) but it's usually the other V names - Vanessa, Valerie, Veronica, Vivian or Virginia.
