I have been earwormed with "It Takes Two" since I saw this brilliant flowchart on tumblr. And then I realized I'd never answered comments on I'm not a sucker so I don't need a bodyguard. *facepalm* I will get on that shortly. I really do appreciate the comments, though

I'm still completely boggled by the appearance of Jennifer Pearce (Lightning from the JSA) under Batgirl. Courtney Whitmore (Stargirl), yes because at least she appear in the last two issues but Jennifer doesn't appear at all and I've never actually read anything with her in.

Hmm. Thinking about it, maybe the prompt is the very understandable urge to add in a character of colour to the very white line up of Steph's allies and Jennifer would be hanging out at the hall of justice.

Yeah, that was one of those cases where I was like, "Um, I don't know who that is." I had to look up both of those, and while I recognize Stargirl, I don't feel like I could write her. (I was sad Damian wasn't on the list for Batgirl.) I also thought the BoP character list was...lacking. No Helena! No Charlie! No Zinda! Otoh, I liked how the YJ character list was all the girls. And Bart.

I think the BoP list was, like, Babs, Dinah, Dick, Jim Gordon. I thought about offering it, but ended up offering Batgirl instead.

Arrgh, I'm having to essentially create an original character for a request made in a completely different, smaller fandom fic challenge. I'm flailing around. The question is, essentially, "What if Character X was not :insert her only characteristic here:."

That's a problem I've always seen especially in comic fandoms during Yuletide. I'd always love to offer Any for Young Avengers and a couple of the other comics I read but then every year, I get to sign up and remember "Oh wait, but I don't actually know anything about or have any attachment to random Adults X, Y, and Z."

Yeah, I thought about offering any for YA, but there was something that stopped me, though I can't remember what it was atm. I think my thinking was "If I offer 'any,' I'll end up with Teddy and Billy," which is fine, but then there was someone on the list I was like, "Wtf?" about. *goes to check* Oh, okay, Coat of Arms. Which you know someone nommed because they want a story about them! But I only vaguely remember who that is, and have no desire to write about them.
