This whole LJ downtime thing has made me realize I have a bunch of fic that is archived nowhere else but LJ. I should fix that when it comes back up, mostly because it's not the stuff that I would be okay about if it disappeared from the internets forever. I doubt anyone is looking for it, but it'd be nice if they could find it on AO3 if they were ( Read more... )

Good thought on the moving thing - I can't believe how much I spent to move this past Oct. THOUSANDS. My lower lip still wibbles when I look at my checking account balance.

Yeah, at this point, I think moving would be more expensive than staying put, and I'm not sure I could actually find a cheaper 1 br in Manhattan.

I mean, in general, over the various versions, I have always liked Magneto more, and there have been plenty of times where I would have quite happily screamed at Xavier, but one of them is a genocidal maniac, and it ain't Prof. X.

Even though BSG threw its hooks into me from the first half hour of the mini, Adama's speech really sealed the deal. It was then that I realized I was watching science fiction that was going to explore some of my fave themes. The Cylons have a point.
