I guess it's time to start thinking about the fall TV season, and this is what I'm looking at right now, in terms of what I'm planning to watch/try out etc.

Yay - SUNDAY is for FOOTBALL, and Monday night too (sometimes). I, for one, have been mainlining preseason games regardless of the team that's playing. There's just something about the vivid greens of the field, the shiny uniforms and the clacking of the football pads - it just puts me in a really good mood.

You should watch The Vampire Diaries. It's silly crack, but it has hot subtexty vampire brothers (one of whom explicitly mocks Twilight), small-town conspiracies, lots of family drama, and awesome female characters. The second season will be starting in a few weeks!

Of course, maybe I missed the entry where you tried it and didn't like it. If so, my bad.

I don't like vampires unless they're getting staked, so shows about them hold no interest for me. Thanks, though.

>>ahahahahaha! There's TV on Saturday night?<<

really cheesetastic movies on the scifi channel! if you need a good giggle. :D (not that i watch them. but i know they're there!)

i'm really ticked at the way criminal minds is cutting back on prentiss and getting rid of jj, but i admit to being kind of curious how they're going to do it, and who they're going to replace jj with. possibly i just need to think ahead so i have things on hand to throw at the tv....

*nod nod*

Mostly I'm curious to see if my cynical feeling - that they're going to bring in some young woman as a love interest - turns out to be true. Man, it depresses me so much, because I was like, CM is better at women than the typical serial killer show! And now, not so much. Sigh.

me too. especially since their options seem to be either morgan or spencer - there's just no way the show can write a potential love interest for hotch that's remotely in-character, and rossi is, uh, probably too old, altho i love me some joe mantegna - and i just can't imagine either of those guys getting involved with a woman on the team.

i really don't want cm to jump the shark but at the same time i feel a weird compulsion to be watching when they do. argh, show, don't make me doubt you.

Yeah, it doesn't make any sense to me, but I suppose I can see what they're planning to do before I pass final judgement. Maybe.

It was announced at the upfronts back in May, I think. Or possibly at Comic Con? A while ago, anyway. They're reuniting it with Smallville. They're basically putting it out to pasture so they can pair something new with Vampire Diaries, I think. I'm sure they know the ratings are going to drop. It's the Friday night death slot, after all.
