watching the telly and thinking 'bout your holidays

Aug 24, 2010 11:21

I guess it's time to start thinking about the fall TV season, and this is what I'm looking at right now, in terms of what I'm planning to watch/try out etc.

Monday
returning
Chuck
Casting spoiler! \o/

Castle

Monday Night Football, depending who's playing

new
Hawaii Five-O
far be it from me to resist the lure of Daniel Dae Kim and Grace Park. Hopefully, it doesn't suck. Of course, since it's on at the same time as Castle, I'll have to record it and watch it on delay. If the Giants are on MNF, though, I'll probably end up downloading.

Tuesday
returning
Glee
I enjoy the music, and Sue. And Mercedes, Kurt, and Quinn. Mostly I'll keep it on in the background while I do other things, if last season is any indication.

The Good Wife
I'm hoping they follow up well after a really strong freshman season.

new
No Ordinary Family
If this is good and I decide to watch it live, I'm pretty sure I'll end up youtubing the musical numbers on Glee and never watching it. Which might be wiser.

Wednesday
returning
Criminal Minds
I'm not happy with JJ leaving and Prentiss being cut back to 17 episodes, and last season was not particularly good, so this could fall by the wayside if things don't pick up quickly.

new
Undercovers
JAbrams! Married spies! I'm hoping this will be good.

Thursday
returning
Big Bang Theory
I will probably record this for later watching and watch Bones and Fringe live for back-to-back maximum gross-out potential.

Bones
Maybe this season Cam will get more to do? I'm trying not to think about the Booth/Brennan stuff.

Fringe
The show I'm most excited about this season. Please don't disappoint me, show! Olivia is too awesome! And maybe there will be more Astrid! And [spoiler spoiler spoiler]!

Friday
returning
Supernatural
I have serious reservations, but it's Friday night, so what else am I gonna do? I can always check the internets first and watch it on delay.

Saturday
ahahahahaha! There's TV on Saturday night?

Sunday
returning
Sunday night football, following Sunday afternoon football. From September to February, Sundays are for football.

I'm not sure when FNL s5 starts - sometime in October, I think, but that's a download and watch at my leisure thing. And none of my cable shows come back until January, I think.
