? Why do people split their posted-all-at-once stories into separate posts on DW?

I do it because I want my fic to be the same across all my journals. It also makes importing comments into DW easier.

So even though I generally direct my posts to DW these days, and cross-post to LJ/IJ/JF, I make sure to break my fics into parts than can fit on all.

As regards things said at the JJ/Joss panel, apparently it's official that Joss is directing the Avengers movie. I don't know what counts as a super official source.

So that made me happy, anyway, and counts as big news, I think.

Huh. I didn't realize that that wasn't official, about The Avengers. That should be an interesting movie.

And don't give me any nonsense about chapters and the reading experience, because a few *** between sections works for me. Bah.

This bothers me on LJ when people post something in WAY too many parts just because of paragraph breaks. I don't think the reading experience is going to be harmed by having two or three chapters in one post. *shakes fist*

Yes! I mean, in 99.44% of cases, YOU ARE NOT WILLIAM FAULKNER. Your chapters should be more than a paragraph long! (Though I would love to see a fannish story that included, on its own and in its entirety, a chapter that said, "My mother is a fish." IJS)

I mean, if you're posting as a wsip, whatever, that's one thing, but a FINISHED STORY should be posted ALL AT ONCE and in as few parts as possible, imo.

I don't remember! There was a lake and a hotel/cabin involved, but no naughty shenanigans that I recall. Possibly they were working there?

(I mean, seriously, is there a game more inclined to attract stats nerds than baseball? I think not.)

Sometimes I think the game itself was invented solely so people could have an excuse to create and track stats like "batting percentage with players on first and third" or "ERA when ceremonial first pitch is from someone under the age of 40."
