Well, they're talking about bringing the show back down to the micro/family level after doing the macro/apocalypse thing, so I get that? And also they completely dropped the Mary's-friends-were-all-killed story from s3. So if it gives us more info about Mary, I'm all for it, in theory? I'm just sick of it always being the white men who get to come back.

Not to mention Henriksen. *raaage* 4x02 will forever be one of my least favorite episodes because THEY TOLD US HE DIED BECAUSE THE ACTOR WAS UNAVAILABLE.

We just BRAIN TWINNED on that rant. I was going to post something almost very much what you said, but then decided no, because SPN is never going to change or get better on this and maybe I've burned up enough fuel being upset about it. The show is what it is. OTOH, I am still upset about it, I don't see why the show has to be such a relentless boys-only club (and yes, fandom, I'm tired of hearing that I'm reading too much into it and how there's no problem here, really). *sigh*
