Let me just say that nothing anyone can tell me will convince me that Diana and her girlfriend didn't move to DC so they could get married this week. It makes me too happy.
i was not expecting the plane to go boom! but i also wasn't expecting neal to actually leave, especially after peter showed up to profess his undying love talk him out of it. also also i'm kind of wondering if kate is really dead or not. i honestly wouldn't be surprised if she managed to survive, altho i'm not sure what purpose it would serve except to make people go "how the hell did she get out of the plane?" do we need her on the show to find out for sure whether she was playing neal or not? (i always thought she was.)
anyway. now i'm all WHAT NEXT?? and i'm kind of excited diana is coming back in s2. bummed cruz isn't, tho.
Yeah, I thought maybe Neal would turn back to Peter and let Kate go, finally. Man, I hope there is not a lot of angsting about this, mostly because she was the least interesting part of the whole show.
I was so happy Diana came back, though. I don't know for certain about Cruz - I'm just speculating. They didn't give her anything to do this season, so I don't know why they'd keep her if they're adding another character to the mix.

My guess is no, she isn't dead, and that she was a set-up by Fowler (or whoever is pulling Fowler's strings) to get Neal onto the plane, at which point she'd have to get off "for a second" and then they'd blow Neal up.
I eagerly await S2. But in the meantime...
SOMEONE BETTER WRITE SOME H/C FICTION STAT - ALSO OT3 WOULD BE GOOD WHEN PETER HAS TO TAKE AN INCONSOLABLE NEAL BACK TO EL AND THEN THE BURKES CAN FIX THAT PESKY INCONSOLABLE THING.
Hmm, I didn't think of that. I figured that Fowler & his big boss used them both and wanted them dead now that they had the music box. For what it's worth, I think she's really dead, and Neal would've been too if Peter hadn't come for him.
See, I thought all signs pointed to Kate NOT playing Neal at the end. She was there waiting to fly off into the sunset with him, which I honestly didn't expect, but which led me to believe that Neal was right and she did indeed love him. If she didn't, she would've been MIA.
Loved the episode. I can't wait for the summer! Too long!!!
I think they could play it either way? But since I don't really care about her, I think it's more interesting if she was playing him somehow and was in over her head and thus, boom!

They could not have played that more like a love triangle if they tried.
