If you wrote '99 Problems' right now, I would totally read it. I love fic from the Dean's deal era. =P
I loved Anna but I;m really disappointed with what they've done with her up until now. I'm really hoping they don't destroy her character in this episode.
S5 is my first live season (I just got into SPN two months ago) but I feel like the apocalypse should end in rocks fall; everyone dies! Including Sam and Dean and let it end with five seasons. That seems like it's been the plan from the beginning and now that there's a possible sixth season there looks to be a lot of retconning and bs going on. =/
But I'm a total newb so I might be wrong on all counts!
I don't know if I could get back to that s3 feeling, though I certainly wrote a lot of deal fic at the time.

Me, too! But the show's poor track record with women characters just doesn't give me any hope.

You can't go bigger than the apocalypse, unless you let it actually happen and then deal

Good Wife is a rerun tonight, so yay, one week with no conflict! If only it would last (I used to have one show in that time slot; now I have three. Argh!)
I have mixed feelings about Anna coming back - I'm happy because she is SO my favourite, but v scared about the fail potential. Julie did an interview a while back that implied there was room for Anna to return after and that she wasn't evil as such, but even so. I've learnt the hard way not to be optimistic about SPN and women. *twitches*
I want everyone - including Sam and Dean - to die and die for good at the end of S5, but then I'm mean like that.
Yeah, I just don't have any trust in them at all, so mostly I am just bracing myself.

Well, I could see them dying, but since they're actually bringing god into the mix, I could also see them bringing Sam and Dean back to life at the end. Which ... I'd rather they just got to drive off into the sunset together, off to save people! hunt things! the family business!
