1. So it appears that 1. people think I should just do a recs update anyway, and 2. a majority of people prefer "Pepper" by the Butthole Surfers to the other songs listed. I know! Almost everything in "Crush" reads like it could have been written about Sam and Dean (except for the part where it was published in 2004 *g*).

Yeah, I totally agree that it's the shows you're most invested in that can break you most easily. You'd think that you'd be more willing to forgive, but we each have an idea of what that show's about, and it's heartbreaking when TPTB take it in a completely different direction.

I think when you're overinvested, you forgive a lot, but when it hurts, it hurts so much worse. I've walked away from shows I was overinvested in, but I'm way more bitter about them than I am about shows I cared less about.
